As a designer for the "Imagine a World" campaign, I contributed to a powerful visual movement centered around the rising issue of book banning and government censorship. This campaign aimed to amplify awareness of how banned books often contain diverse, essential, and transformative narratives that deserve to be heard. At its core, the message emphasized the urgency of protecting literature as a form of truth-telling and cultural reflection—stories that are being silenced at an alarming rate.
Our creative strategy focused on a series of compelling social media posts, each inspired by a different banned book. These designs reimagined book covers through a real-world lens, incorporating key elements such as color palettes, symbolism, and visual metaphors that reflected the book's themes and societal relevance. I helped develop visuals that were not only eye-catching but also rich in meaning, with the campaign’s introductory post providing essential context and setting the tone. The goal was to spark conversation, promote awareness, and encourage readership—reminding audiences that stories carry power, and in many cases, hold more truth than we may realize.
