For this project, I created a series of three conceptual designs based on the iconic Steve Jobs quote: “Design is not just what it looks like and feels like. Design is how it works.” Each piece explores a different visual approach to interpreting the message.
The first graphic features a computer with the quote typed out on the screen, while “Steve Jobs” is subtly integrated into the keyboard—blending typography with object design. The second design presents a visually striking paragraph, where all text except for the first phrase “Design is not just what it looks like and feels like” is crossed out, and the remaining words are individually circled throughout the layout to emphasize their importance. The final piece uses a minimalist black-and-white illustration of a computer mouse to explore positive and negative space, visually reinforcing the contrast between what design appears to be and how it functions. This series allowed me to experiment with conceptual storytelling, typographic hierarchy, and visual composition in a way that honors both message and medium.
